I’ve been back in the city for a week now. Ain’t it great when you return to “real life” & it’s just as good as being on holiday? On Monday I got all dolled up in a coral lace dress from the 1960’s (on the far right) & trotted off to a coffee shop to meet my new videographer. We shot our first experiment on Thursday & Dolly stole the show! (As always.) I’m really excited to see how it turns out. Yes yes yes! I dropped off my Diana film from L.A. & was so disappointed with what came back! There are THREE pictures which you can actually see. Asdfghjkl! (All the photos I’ve taken with my Diana are here.) You seriously cannot use that camera inside at ALL, but I guess it is a “learning experience” (aka rage-inducer!). In other camera news, I bought a Nikon D5100 which I am loving! It’s a really nice upgrade from my D80, which I’ve had since 2006 (!!!), especially because it also shoots video (& has a flip-out screen!). Even better, I’m able to switch out all my Nikon lenses & use them, so I have lots of options. I really like it. I’m thinking of selling the D80 but it’s nice to have a back-up just in case, & I’m not good at getting rid of things. I’m a bit of a hoarder. I always have late fees at the library because I just don’t like giving things back! Things I need am obsessed with: Bullet bras & leather corsets. All of this lingerie. Mad Men (we’re halfway through season two, & even though it is giving us both anxiety, it is a major obsession!). Betty Draper. Best style ever. Right?! RIGHT?!!! Other stuff: + My father is coming to NYC at the end of July — YAY! — & we’re going to ride bikes through Central Park, take a boat tour around the island, go to jazz clubs, & do a bunch of other New York-centric stuff that I have never done. I can’t wait for him to meet Mike & the puppies! + I have my fingers crossed that the bill for same sex marriage in NY gets passed. + I’m so proud of Molly & her “Week In Hell” project. Isn’t she so amazing? Seriously, what a gal. + I am kind of dying over the Wheels & Dollbaby sale. Le danger! + This girl asked me cute questions: Entrevista con la blogger Gala Darling. (Don’t worry, it’s translated to English, too!) + Also, apparently this girl & I are twins. NOT EVEN! Just ‘cause she has a nose?! Nah! + I saw my first firefly of the season last night… It was monumental. I love fireflies! I’d never seen them before last year! xoxox
